Whole House

Perfect for a family gathering, friends getting together or guests attending a function or event. Islay House sleeps nine in three queen, one double and one single room all with private ensuites. Cosy hydronic heating in winter and cooling fans in summer make any season a good time to visit.

Indulge in the elegant and spacious rooms, relax in the lounge, enjoy the delicious breakfast in the sun-filled morning room and warm up in front of the open fire. Wander the garden with a cuppa or glass of wine; chat to the chooks and enjoy the trees and space. Also please be aware that the queen and double rooms are upstairs and the stairs are original, that is, steep. We assist with luggage.

A five minute walk along the main street brings you to cafes, boutiques, breweries, distilleries, restaurants and bookshops. Take your time to enjoy.

Red Room

Your delux queen bed, Belgian linen, French antiques, private en-suite, quiet writing corner, original artworks, glorious morning light and a comfy chair for a quiet read, all await you. Red Room (although now a gentle white and subtle grey) is perfect for a calm retreat. Once part of the hotel’s ballroom, Red Room enjoys views over the street and elegant elms.  Double glazing and blackout blinds keep the noise out but you might like to leave them up as the morning light is a treat to enjoy.

Blue Room

Your spacious and elegant queen room is the essence of simplicity with everything you need for a comfortable stay.  Styled with antique furniture, rich rugs, luxurious linen, private en-suite bathroom, in-room sitting area, tea, coffee and writing desk. Enjoy the organic amenities, cosy hydronic heating in winter and gentle cooling fans in summer. Your easterly views over the street and garden are not intererupted by noise from the street, as all windwos are double glazed.

Brick Room

Cosy and full of character, Brick Room’s queen bed, luxury linen, private ensuite, antique furniture,  desk and gorgeous chair to relax in will delight you!   In room teas and plunger coffee, large ensuite with hand crafted vanity, historic trinkets and stories of hidden treasure discovered during the renovation - Brick Room is the place to relax and indulge.

Stripey Room

Elegant Regency stripes give Stripey Room it’s nick-name. Your double room is cute as a button with luxury linen, private ensuite, comfy chair, ample hanging space, writing desk, coffee and tea and great garden views.  Snuggle up, or if solo, spread out and enjoy the space. It’s a treat!
